Welcome to the candlelight vigil for Ely, Nevada.    Thanks to the Ely Renaissance Society we’ll be meeting at the Renaissance Sculpture and Labyrinth Park at the 600 block of Aultman St. , downtown Ely, across from Economy Drug.  Meeting time is 4:00.  Everyone is welcome!!!!

  3. I am happy to report we now have a meeting place for our candlelight vigil in Ely, Nevada, thanks to the Ely Renaissance Society. It will be at 4 o’clock on Dec 15th at the Renaissance Sculpture and Labyrinth Park at the 600 block of Aultman St downtown Ely, across from Economy drug, everyone is welcome. Jeanne Nations

    Ely’s event will be held at the Ely Renaissance Society’s sculpture and labyrinth park across from the economy drugstore at the 600 block of Aultman in downtown Ely. This event will be taking place all across the country and internationally on Dec 15th 2011. Please bring candles dress warm and let your light shine!

    • Hi Arla, I put it on facebook and events in White Pine County, I have some people interested who said they will try and come, plus some people from the reninasnace socity . Have you talked to any schools yet? I have a friend who said if we make a flyer for the event, she will make copies and post them all around town. Do you want to make a flyer? Have you got anybody lined up yet? I don’t know how this will turn out, but I hope we can get a lot of people there, your right this is so important, Jeanne

  6. What will your strategy be in contacting government schools? I would love children to come to the vigils for they will be the future flame holders for our wild ones.

  7. As there was no vigil planned for anywhere in Utah, I have volunteered to put something together at Wendover/W. Wendover … of course, I will continue to promote this one in White Pine County, as well.

    Schools will require something printed, so they can get approvals from their BOE’s. I recommend keeping the literature about the historical importance of the Act, steering away from controversial politics, or the murky waters of “spiritualism” or religion.
